This guide is perfect for all holiday styles: beaches, wine country villas, and gastronomic spots. Here are some unbeatable destinations and some hotel options for you…
Destinations in Australia and Oceania
Australia
For European and American couples, the long voyage to Australia may only be made once. This means honeymooners should take advantage of the situation. From outback excursions to city stays in Sydney or Melbourne, coastal road trips, and diving the Great Barrier Reef, Australia offers a diverse range of honeymoon activities to suit any style of tourist.
Best Hotels: Luxury and adventure are the best combination. Longitude 131 provides luxurious rooms for guests walking to Uluru. Luxury tents with views of the outback, similar to those found on African safaris. Beachgoers, on the other hand, should get a room at Qualia. Qualia, a five-star hotel on Hamilton Island, offers honeymooners not just access to one of the world’s natural wonders, but also luxurious private villas once they’ve spent the day under the water.
New Zealand
Spend money on a long-haul flight to a faraway location. Daydreams often transport people to New Zealand. New Zealand, a fascinating country situated in the South Pacific, is a location unlike any other. Climb to the tops of snow-capped mountains and relax on golden sand beaches. Fjords and geysers are breathtaking. Explore urban cities as well as rustic rural settings. The islands offer fantastic oysters to go with all of that world-class wine.
Best Hotels: At Azur Lodge, just nine luxury villas overlook Lake Wakatipu west of Queenstown, privacy promotes romance. By day, honeymooners can look at towering peaks from their private spa tub, and by night, they can sip wine by the fireplace. Similarly, Lindis’ ultra-modern style blends into the vast terrain of the South Island’s Ahuriri Valley. When you’re not out horseback riding, biking, fishing, enjoying helicopter excursions, or wine tasting, this hotel has spectacular panoramic views.
Bora Bora
Bora Bora is a popular choice with plenty of honeymoon-worthy accommodations. Bora Bora is known for being the most beautiful island in the world, with majestic volcanic peaks and blue lagoons covered with coral reefs.
Where to stay: The five-star Four Seasons Bora Bora is undoubtedly the most impressive of the numerous world-renowned hotel groups present on the island. Luxurious private bungalows float over glistening turquoise waters. This is the Bora Bora you’ve always imagined.
Mo’orea
While its sister island Bora Bora may entice honeymooners seeking the world’s most luxurious resorts,
Mo’orea entices those wanting a natural retreat combined with a cultural experience. Mo’orea is less touristy than Tahiti and Bora Bora, and its pace is more truly Polynesian and peaceful. Hike the hills for panoramic views of the island, then dive into the lagoon to swim with sharks and, if you’re lucky, migratory humpback whales.
Best Hotel: The Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa retains the traditional overwater bungalow found at other Tahitian resorts. You’ll also get an aesthetic and cultural experience.Your honeymoon suite plunge pool will be the icing on top of what will undoubtedly be an amazing journey, combining Polynesian culture with modern luxury.
Samoa
Samoa is a terrific alternative to the more popular South Pacific destinations. Although the journey is expensive, once there, Samoa offers honeymooners one of the most cheap vacations in the South Pacific. You can relax because four-star hotels are significantly less expensive than on adjacent islands, and local produce and fish are very cheap! Learn traditional Samoan dances, by local artwork, and visit Samoa’s beautiful waterfalls.
Best Hotel: Aga Reef Resort, with its own private beach is what we recommend. This intimate and beautiful hotel offers honeymooners the option of being active and/or relaxing. Explore the resort’s surrounding mountains and gorgeous oceans. Alternatively, relax and enjoy the spectacular views from a private villa.
Tonga
Have you ever wanted to go humpback whale swimming? Tonga does not require you to be a professional diver. Humpback whales mate and give birth in the Kingdom of Tonga from July to October. Visitors can go snorkelling in the crystal clear seas and get up close and personal with these gentle giants of the sea. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that is perfect for your honeymoon.
Best Accommodation: Fafá Island Resort allows you and your spouse to focus solely on each other while exploring Tonga’s enchanting environment. With only thirteen luxurious villas, you’ll have the entire island to yourself. Snorkel in vibrant coral reefs before heading out for a humpback whale encounter.
The Cook Islands
The primary attractions of The Cook Islands are on its beautiful beaches. For the more adventurous, try kayaking around the islands, fishing (and then cooking your catch), or even kite surfing.
Best Hotel: Honeymooners staying at Pacific Resort Aitutaki enjoy access to what is arguably the most gorgeous lagoon on the planet. Spend the day sunbathing and snorkelling on white-sand beaches. Then retire to your luxurious bungalow nestled among the waving palms and lush tropical climate.
Fiji

Honeymooners can choose their favourite place on this secluded South Pacific paradise, which features a beautiful collection of islands. Snorkelers will be blessed with brilliant coral reefs in this area known for its underwater adventures. Fiji is also in the forefront of fighting climate change, which is good news for people looking to travel responsibly. It tries to preserve Fijian waters sparkling pristine.
Best Hotel: A 45-minute seaplane ride from Fiji’s main island to Kokomo Private Island Hotel, a private haven, is a breathtaking experience. With only a few villas on site, your honeymoon will feel private and luxurious, with sumptuous spa treatments and exotic cuisine to tempt the senses. Surf, sail, kayak, fish, and explore some of the world’s best underwater reefs while wearing only your bikini.

Your honeymoon itinerary in the Southwest will be determined by a number of things. Airport? driving? What is your time limit for exploring? We have a lot of preferred National Parks, Monuments, and attractions to visit throughout the region, regardless of your replies.
The grandeur of Zion National Park and of Bryce Canyon National Park are unmissable in Utah. Of course, the Grand Canyon is on practically everyone’s Arizona bucket list. Canyon de Chelly, on the other hand, is a well-kept secret in Northern Arizona, offering visitors a magnificent canyon with only wild wandering horses as company. Don’t forget about the southeastern California deserts. Go to the Mojave Desert and you’ll find a park with rocks and trees that seem fit for another planet: Joshua Tree National Park.
Saint Lucia
Over 700 islands make up the Caribbean Archipelago. So you know what we mean when we say Saint Lucia is our favourite honeymoon destination. With volcanic beaches, reef diving opportunities, luxurious resorts, and the reason it dazzles us all: the towering Piton mountains, the small island packs a punch.
Where to stay: Book a hotel at Jade Mountain Resort for the greatest view of Saint Lucia’s magnificent Pitons. The hotel, which is one of our top honeymoon hotel suites with private pools, offers spectacular views not just from your accommodation but also from your plunge pool.
Galapagos Islands
Dive with iguanas from the sea. Sunbathe on beaches with white sand. Discover the fascinating biodiversity of this legendary group of islands. The Galapagos Islands provide a once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon vacation for wildlife lovers. If your ideal honeymoon includes scuba diving, snorkelling, beachcombing, and hanging out with gigantic tortoises, we assure it will be well worth the trip.
Best Hotel: With so many islands and ocean waters to explore, we recommend staying at a hotel that offers excursions and tailored itineraries. Pikaia Lodge, located in the heart of the Galapagos Archipelago, is a gorgeous resort that provides access to all of the region’s top animal excursions. While walking from the spa to the infinity pool, honeymooners may come across enormous tortoises roaming the grounds.
Peru
Machu Picchu is not the only wonder of the Incas. Before and after their Andean excursions, Peru treats newlyweds to world-class cuisine. Lima, which is home to many of San Pelligrino’s Top Restaurants, is as amazing as Machu Picchu.
Best Hotel: Retire to the luxury Sumaq Hotel after the exertion of climbing to the top of Machu Picchu. The premium hotel’s spa, which is located at the base of this world wonder, provides the necessary post-hike treatment.

The tourism industry in Baja is booming. San Jose del Cabo, Cabo San Lucas’ more authentic sister, has a new spotlight. Todos Santos, a charming Pueblo Magico, caters to newlyweds wishing to get away from the masses. Marine-life enthusiasts flock to the Sea of Cortez to swim with whale sharks and see Jacques Cousteau’s “Aquarium of the World.” Finally, Valle de Guadalupe, in the far north, is Mexico’s thriving wine country.
Best Hotels:
We love the Villa Santa Cruz, ACRA Hotel and of course, Hotel Guadalupe
Patagonia
Trek through mountains and glaciers. Enjoy the finest steaks while learning about Argentine and Chilean culture. A honeymoon in Patagonia is one of our favourite options because it can be both elegant and adventurous. A one-of-a-kind honeymoon getaway in South America.
Best Hotel: Awasi Patagonia, on the outskirts of Torres del Paine National Park, offers panoramic mountain and desert views. The woods refuge, which is an all-inclusive resort, organises tours, spa treatments, and a delectable Patagonian restaurant.
The Best Destinations in Europe
Paris, France
The love Capital of the World. Paris is a classic honeymoon destination, with so many romantic corners. Honeymooners have access to some of the best cuisine, wine, fashion, and art in the world. Drink Champagne in one of the city’s beautiful wine bars before strolling along the Seine and taking in the sights.
Best Hotel: Villa Beaumarchais, which looks like something out of a Wes Anderson film, offers beautiful rooms in one of the city’s most fashionable and convenient areas. You’ll be in and out of fashionable cafes, stylish fashion houses, spotless parks, and cool galleries in no time.
Italy’s Amalfi Coast
If romance were a picture, the Amalfi Coast would most definitely be featured. Glistening Italian hamlets cling to the rocks above the Mediterranean Sea. Wander through magnificent villas, inhale fragrant lemon groves, and take in the views of the seaside mountains. Discover classic towns like Positano, Amalfi, Ravello, and Capri. In every regard, the Amalfi Coast is a holiday of love.
Best Hotel: If you want to indulge on this once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon, Le Sirenuse is the place to stay. Le Sirenuse is a historic mansion turned luxury hotel with exquisite suites with sea views in Positano’s glittering beach town. The real Italian tile, opulent baths, and isolated position within one of Italy’s most renowned vacation spots are all things we adore.
Iceland
Iceland has long been hailed as the ideal honeymoon destination for spa lovers and adventure seekers alike. Natural spas, horseback riding, ice caving, active volcanoes, iceberg fields, whale watching, hiking, and increasingly, its sophisticated new Nordic cuisine scene are also popular attractions.
Best Hotels: Stay at Hotel Budir, which is known for its Icelandic restaurant and breathtaking views of the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Finally, from your UMI Hotel suite, discover the numerous beauties of the South, including volcanoes, glaciers, and black sand beaches.
Italy’s Lake Como
There’s a reason why John Legend and Chrissy Teigen tied the knot on the shores of Lake Como. High in the Italian Alps, the crystalline lakes are irresistibly lovely. A deep, magnificent blue lake is surrounded by steep Alpine rocks. Meanwhile, the banks are adorned with opulent Italian houses. Consider the spectacular beauty of the Alps combined with the laid-back spirit of Italy.
Best Hotels: Thankfully, Lake Como’s size allows for a wide range of luxury honeymoon hotels. Villa Balbiano is one of the most sought-after places in this mountain haven. We’ve also set our sights on Relais Villa Vittoria for our own romantic break as a result of this stunning lakeside wedding.
The Greek Cyclades
Santorini, Sifnos, Milos, Paros…the Cyclades alone provide a whole list of top honeymoon destinations. Thankfully, you can create a fantastic honeymoon by touring each island thanks to swift boat transfers and inexpensive in-country flights. Honeymoon suites with private plunge pools, white cave houses with blue roofs, and volcanic coastlines, delicious Mediterranean cuisine and breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea from every angle. Honeymoons in the Cyclades are difficult to beat.
Best Hotels: Go to the Lithos Luxury Rooms after getting engaged on lovely and tranquil Milos (which has sunsets that match Santorini). Stay away from the crowds in an Astarte Suites honeymoon suite with a private pool in Santorini.
Scotland
While Scotland may not immediately spring to mind as a honeymoon destination, we must remind you of how enticing Bond films can be. Imagine leaving your baggage in stony Edinburgh, picking up the keys to your 007 Aston Martin, and driving up the Scottish Highlands’ beautiful peaks. Imagine you and your partner sitting around a fire in your Scottish castle, sipping whisky and plotting your foggy Highland adventures.
Tours to the Scottish Highlands can take you across huge fields, beaches, and islands. So, pick a region that appeals to you. Consider doing a whisky tour of the western isles. Hike through the gorgeous mountains and observe majestic stags.
Accommodation: We recommend stopping in one of Scotland’s numerous regal hotels, regardless of your schedule. Inverlochy Castle is an excellent choice. The 13th-century castle, which is located in Scotland’s western Highlands, is a time machine. Expect royal treatment in this enormous palace, which has seventeen rooms.
Basque Country
In the Basque Country, foodies are spoiled for choice. Many of the world’s top-ranked restaurants can be found in the beach communities that extend from the French Atlantic border to Bilbao, Spain. Similarly, unassuming family-run pinchos that are too obscure to appear on popular lists serve real Basque fare that rivals the best. Then there’s the region’s wonderful, salty, and mineral wines. Turquoise waters crash on white sand beaches in Basque Country.
Where to stay: The ultra-modern hotel Akelarre is located just outside the charming city of San Sebastian. While the premium furnishings and beach views would be enough to persuade us to stay at this light-filled hotel, it is the food that pulls the crowds. The same-named hotel restaurant has three Michelin stars.
Florence, Italy
Florence is one of the most romantic cities in the world, as I discovered on my honeymoon there. Imagine wandering through cobblestone alleyways surrounded by paintings and the scent of Tuscan cuisine. Listen to the joyous clinking glasses of Italian wine bars nearby. The building is stunning, the food is delectable, and the Tuscan hills are right outside your door.
Best Hotels: A handful of magnificent hotels furnished with original Florentine art may be found in the Renaissance Jewel. Casa Botticelli, a boutique hotel in the fashionable Santo Spiritu area, also functions as an art gallery. Many of the hanging items can be purchased. The Four Seasons Hotel Firenze is the epitome of Renaissance splendour. Every room, hallway, and garden is a gorgeous work of art in and of itself.
The Canary Islands
The Canary Islands are our favourite warm-weather winter honeymoon destination in Europe, with year-round sun. The European islands off the coast of Morocco average 20 degrees Celsius from December to March.
While Tenerife, the largest and most inhabited island, has the most upscale accommodations, it would be a shame not to explore one or two of the smaller islands. La Palma honours nature by providing visitors with natural preserves as well as serenity and tranquillity. Enjoy the sun on Fuerteventura’s famous beaches, or arrange a trip to Gran Canaria that includes a variety of activities.
The Canary Islands are not just a beautiful beach getaway; they are also famous for wine! Lanzarote wine boasts alluring notes of smoke thanks to vineyards grown inside volcanic craters.
London
The idea of a city honeymoon never gets old to us. London is a traditional option. On the Thames River, it offers rich history and culture to newlyweds. Historic palaces and bridges can be seen. Enjoy romantic strolls through English rose gardens. The West End offers world-class theatre. As London has one of the most diverse populations in the world, you may sample the best of any cuisine you can imagine. Of course, like a true Londoner, we’ll expect you to be down at the pub, watching the football!
Best Hotels: It’s crucial to remember that London is a vast city in terms of size. As a result, choosing a hotel that is close to your plans is critical. Home House London and The Prince Akatoki London, both in the Marylebone district near Hyde Park, will keep you a short cab ride away from most of the most popular landmarks, restaurants, and to-dos London has to offer. The first is a magnificent Georgian-era boutique hotel that will transport you to Windsor. The latter is a one-of-a-kind luxury hotel inspired by Japanese ryokans.
Switzerland
Whether your honeymoon plans include aprés ski by fire or summer treks past towering waterfalls, Switzerland has it all. The Swiss Alps have lots to offer in both the winter and summer seasons. Winter honeymoons, of course, involve luxurious ski trips. Relax and unwind with spa treatments and fondue. Summer, on the other hand, means long hikes, wine tasting, chocolate consumption, and spa services.
Best Hotels: Gstaad Palace is ideal for winter honeymooners. The huge hotel, which is located in a prominent Swiss ski hamlet, appears like something out of a Wes Anderson film. If you want something more modern, The Cambrian, with its sophisticated spa and ski-ready facilities, caters to both summer and winter honeymooners. Hike in the Jungfraujoch region and explore the lovely villages of Lauterbrunnen and Grindelwald. Pass by the world’s tallest waterfalls, gushing from magnificent glaciers.
Top Destinations in Africa
The Serengeti
If a wildlife safari in the Serengeti is on your bucket list, take advantage of your honeymoon to indulge. The massive national park is home to an abundance of wildlife. The Big Five will be present: lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and black rhinoceros. Not to mention the giraffe, zebra, cheetah, and a wide range of antelope. The Great Migration of wildebeest crosses the Masai Mara and the Serengeti from June to October, and newlyweds can experience it.
The Best Hotel: Safaris are no longer roughing it. The most sophisticated resorts in major cities around the world compete with luxury hotels in the bush. Under canvas, Singita Sabora Luxury Tented Camp offers five-star amenities. Inside your tent, you’ll find luxurious décor with indigenous African style and a spa-like washroom.
Morocco
This desert oasis is designed with honeymooners in mind. Morocco is a popular tourist destination in Europe and beyond, with an endless supply of elegant riads, palaces-turned-hotels, and luxury tented camps. Plus, the variety of destinations within this huge country contributes to this. Honeymooners can stay at chic hotels in towns such as Marrakech, Fes, and Tangier. Adventures in the Sahara in Ait Benhaddou, Ouarzazate, and beyond. Visit Chefchaouen, the blue city, or Essaouira and Taghazout, the breezy surfing towns. Mountain expeditions can also include luxury lodgings at the Atlas Mountains’ base.
Best Hotels: The majestic mansion Ksar Char-Bagh, hidden among the palms, is our recommendation for your Red City honeymoon stay. From spotless apartments to hammams to your French-trained private chef, you’ll have everything you need for a royal honeymoon.
South Africa
A honeymoon in South Africa would be amazing. In Cape Town, you can surf with penguins. In the wine country, enjoy excellent farm-to-table eating. In the Western Cape, you may go whale watching. And of course, you should do a safari taking in all of the wildlife and landscapes. Even if you don’t choose our Cape Town to Wine Country to Garden Route to Amakhala Itinerary, South Africa offers a diverse range of honeymoon places.
Best Accommodation: Are you planning a road trip across South Africa? Arrive in Cape Town, one of Africa’s most stunning cities. Check into The Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa, which is located on the seashore. Then go to Babylonstoren in wine country. Finally, travel to Bukela Lodge in the east for your luxury safari.

Under the setting light, ride through the sand dunes on horseback. Mozambique, which is at the top of our travel wish list, offers all you desire from a beach resort as well as a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see East Africa’s culture and beauty.
Anantara Bazaruto Island Resort is one of the best hotels in the world. Private villas are located just steps away from white-sand beaches. Visitors are pampered with the opportunity to learn about local culture through a gourmet meal.
Sussurro is a boutique luxury hotel located on the banks of a turquoise lagoon. Honeymooners can sink into ultimate relaxation by embracing local art and style, blending both in a tranquil, simple approach.
Egypt
Combine consistent beach weather, low costs, and antique architecture. The Giza Pyramids and the Valley of the Kings are included in most Egyptian tours. Taking a luxury boat down the Nile. But did you know that Egypt also has one of the world’s most spectacular coral reefs? Trips to fragrant markets and local restaurants will also thrill foodies. Egypt’s food landscape is bursting with spices and taste, thanks to influences from North Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and the Near East.
Best Hotels: Al Moudira Hotel will help you immerse yourself in Egyptian history. You may appreciate the historic majesty of Luxor from the solitude of your own luxury suite if you stay in a palatial hotel along the Nile’s quieter banks. Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh offers beach honeymooners a romantic setting along the Red Sea’s shore. The glittering new resort’s suites include private terraces with views of the Red Sea. Soak in Cleopatra-worthy marble bathtubs and make use of the concierge, who will take care of all of your honeymoon needs.
Madagascar
Madagascar is the road less travelled, located off the east coast of Africa and surrounded by the deep blue waters of the Indian Ocean. Privacy is easy to come by with 3,100 miles of beaches and extensive protected jungles. Its remoteness also means it has some of the world’s most unusual wildlife. Because Madagascar is cut off from the rest of the continent, over three quarters of the native species can only be found there. The lemurs have established their own kingdom on this island.
Best Hotel: Tsara Komba is an eco-resort on Lemur Island that blends a luxury beach vacation with an awareness for the natural environment. In the morning, scuba diving in shallow waters. By day, explore the magnificent woodland. Finally, by night, unwind in your own private ocean-view lodge.
Seychelles
Seychelles, a popular honeymoon destination for European newlyweds. Seychelles is great for wildlife enthusiasts with unique opportunities to see unique nature and creatures. If you’ve ever fantasised about honeymooning on a remote, exotic island, this could be the place for you.
Accommodation: Anantara Maia is the best hotel. With the sea right outside your window, Seychelles Villas provides ultimate luxury for honeymooners. Anantara Maia would be our favourite among Seychelles’ numerous beautiful resorts.
Namibia
Namibia, which already has a variety of high-end safari tented camps and boutique designer hotels, offers luxurious accommodations in a beautiful setting. Namibia’s desert is amazing. Wildlife enthusiasts can see the king of the jungle, the lion, who has astonishingly made the desert his territory.

The Maldives
Could we suggest The Maldives for your dream honeymoon, which includes luxurious villas overlooking blue waters? This ephemeral group of islands in the Indian Ocean is a dreamy getaway. The long journey to this island paradise, which vanishes into the water, is well worth it, as it is unlikely to stay around indefinitely.
Best Accommodation: Your honeymoon stay in one of Anantara Veli Maldives Resort’s distinctive over-water villas will be romantic, paradisiacal, and opulent, and you’ll have a hard time identifying any flaws. You may unwind in luxury while watching manta rays swim around your private pool.
Thailand
We know where you can locate traditional Thai isles that offer honeymoon-worthy lodgings without the business among Thailand’s over 1,400 islands. There are still plenty of islands where newlyweds may explore hidden beaches and treat themselves to delectable Southern Thai cuisine.
Best Hotels: Compared to Phuket, Koh Yao Noi is a more quiet option. The island is still conveniently accessible while providing a quieter getaway for honeymooners. Make a reservation at the Six Senses Yao Noi. Stay at Pimalai Resort & Spa near Krabi on tranquil Koh Lanta, where renowned limestone formations emerge from the sea.

Bali, Indonesia
Perhaps your plans include beach hopping on a motorcycle in search of the ideal surf spot? While Bali is a popular honeymoon location, there are many other parts of this idyllic Indonesian island to visit, with a variety of tour options to choose from.
Best Hotels: Amankila is the place to be. The cliffside luxury retreat provides complete solitude to honeymooners. Private thatched-roof rooms offer breathtaking views of the Lombok Strait. Como Shambhala Estate, in the jungle, is our top selection for a luxurious honeymoon vacation in Bali.
Beijing
Beijing honeymoons have a sophisticated aspect to them. Explore the Forbidden City, which is both ancient and serene. Climb the Great Wall of China’s stairs. Enjoy the traditional food of Beijing. China’s capital may give a polished city trip with lots to see, learn, and experience for newlyweds.
History buffs will appreciate the significance of staying at this magnificent hotel. During the Qing Dynasty, a quiet getaway feet from the Emperor’s own Summer Palace is once-in-a-lifetime, just like your honeymoon.
The Himalayas
A spiritual journey across the Himalayas can help you strengthen your marriage. A Himalayan honeymoon provides a connection to nature, panoramic views, and a glimpse into one of the world’s most remote nations, and is not just for sporty mountain climbers. More than unique local artwork and panoramic images will accompany you home. Most visitors agree that visiting the Himalayan mountains provides them with a new perspective on life. What better way to begin your new chapter together than with this?
Best Hotels: With hotels in Bhutan, India, Nepal, Tibet, and Pakistan, your best option will depend on your favourite region. The Dwarika’s Hotel in Nepal mixes the unique culture of Kathmandu with big and comfortable lodgings for reasonable luxury. The hotel is a museum in and of itself.
Both Amankora and Six Senses Bhutan offer honeymooners an experience unlike any other in the world in the Kingdom of Bhutan. High on Himalayan slopes, temple-like accommodations float above the skies. Both hotels combine contemporary interior design with traditional Bhutanese design.
Sri Lanka
Consider an island where elephants and surfers use the same beach. Cricket and afternoon tea mingle with Buddhist ceremonies and a mixture of South and Southeast Asian delicacies in this unique setting. Sri Lanka is a one-of-a-kind travel destination. It has little in common with India or Thailand across the bay. Sri Lanka, with its own distinct culture, nature, and food, offers something altogether different to honeymooners.
Best Hotels: The growing eco-tourism business in Sri Lanka is concentrated on its tea plantations. Ceylon Tea Trails provides guests with a one-of-a-kind experience in Sri Lanka’s tea heartland. Ceylon Tea Trails is the ideal way to see gorgeous colonial architecture while also experiencing the wonderful hospitality of this predominantly Buddhist country.
In terms of beach hotels, Wild Coast Tented Lodge demonstrates that Sri Lanka is truly unique. This all-inclusive resort offers a unique Sri Lankan take on luxury safaris, located between a stunning beach and Yala National Park (home to elephants, leopards, and monkeys).
Dubai
There will never be a dull moment in Dubai. Sail a catamaran with your partner at sunset. Hire a private driver in a high-end vehicle to take you from designer boutiques to Michelin-starred eateries. Plan your honeymoon around Dubai’s world-class sporting events and take advantage of the Arabian Peninsula’s most famous nightlife.
Best Hotels: Book a room at the only hotel on Pearl Jumeirah’s glistening beaches. This freshly constructed island is well served by Nikki Beach Resort & Spa. The hotel provides guests with beautiful luxury villas, pools, a variety of restaurants, athletic facilities, and entertainment.
Al Maha, once refreshed by the Persian Gulf, invites you to the desert. The resort, which is featured in our Luxury Honeymoons Guide, is only accessible by private Jeep transfer. As you retreat to this completely deserted haven, the humming sounds and glow of neighbouring Dubai fade away. If you’ve ever dreamt of sleeping in a luxury tent beneath the stars on Arabian dunes, this is about as good as it gets.
Oman
In Oman, the Arabian desert meets the sea. It’s also not the skyline that you may expect from surrounding cities like Dubai or Doha. Oman embraces its natural harsh landscape while still providing the luxury holiday that the Arabian peninsula is known for. Find a secluded beach among the desert mountains.
Six Senses is the best hotel. Zighy Bay is a far cry from the UAE’s overcrowded beaches. The hotel’s exceptional isolation is enhanced by stone walls that merge into the cliffside. It’s not just a ruse, either. Despite being close to Dubai, visitors must complete their journey to the hotel by speedboat or paraglide — the only method to reach this luxury getaway.
Anantara sends its propensity for luxury travel high into the highlands of Oman for something even more off-the-beaten-path. Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort allows honeymooners to immerse themselves in Arabian culture and nature while also providing opportunities to relax at the conclusion of each eventful day. From the spot where Princess Diana once stood, enjoy the resort’s luxurious hammam, world-class dining, and spectacular canyon views.
Jordan
Jordan offers one of the most cost-effective honeymoons in the Middle East. Camels excursions through surreal landscapes and peaceful days by the Dead Sea make up the ultimate Jordan honeymoon itinerary. Begin with a trip through Wadi Rum and on to Petra. This historic landscape will fascinate history buffs. Then re-energize. Soak your muscles in the Dead Sea’s saline waters. Jordan’s pleasant affordability allows you to indulge in as many hammam spa treatments as you wish, compared to the more expensive Israel across the water.
Best Hotel: Tent camps make up a large portion of Jordan’s best accommodations. If your Jordanian itinerary includes Wadi Rum excursions, a stay at Memories Aicha Luxury Camp will make it a honeymoon-worthy destination. The camp takes glamping to the next level, with exquisite decor that turn each suite into its own stargazing palace.
