We have something new for you today in the form of a first anniversary session. I’ve noticed a few of these shoots lately coming primarily from the States and I personally think it’s such a lovely thing to do. If your not that keen on having a trash the dress session but still love the idea of getting to slip into your amazing dress again, maybe this is the way forward for you. I think it’s a really romantic way to celebrate one year on and you can really make a whole day of the occasion. This simple but beautifully captured session comes to us from Florida thanks to Jenn Guthrie and she let us in on her own experience…
“I have been photographing weddings for about a few years now and I absolutely LOVE them. My favorite part of the wedding day is when I get to sneak the bride and groom away for a quick 15-20 minute session to take their formal pictures. However, I always seem to find myself wishing I had just a bit more time with my couples…”
“When I visualised this session, I imagined a blue couch and a giant open field. I wanted a ton of gorgeous, hazy sunlight. I wanted to keep it simple. I wanted time to spend with the bride and groom, where nobody was rushing to get back to the reception, or worrying about the stress of the wedding day… and that’s exactly what we did. I knew Ashley and Robby would be the perfect models. They are head over heels for each other, they have been together since they were 16 & 17. Ashley and Robby were married last June, so for their one year anniversary, I asked them to help me out on this shoot- and they were more than willing! It was a blast, and I am so happy to see my vision come to life!”
The light is crazy beautiful to me, you can nearly feel the warmth from the photographs. Are you inspired? Thanks to Ashley, Robbie and Jenn Guthrie Photography for allowing us to share this with you today. Check out Jenn’s blog for some more gorgeousness. See you back here later on today for some more destination wedding inspiration.
