A Gold and White Alexander McQueen Styled Bridal Shoot by Hawke & Hughes

Given that fashion week is in full swing – Paris is up next!

I really could not pass up the opportunity to share with you this Alexander McQueen stylish bridal shoot from luxury wedding planners Hawke & Hughes. The mix between the Rockstar Swarovski encrusted skulls and the fluffy roses and hydrangeas really hit the mark for me and also I love all the little gold accents. Here is what the wedding planning duo Emma and Sam had to say about their inspiration for the shoot:

“We decided to carry out the shoot as we were keen to style something a little bit different from the ‘typical wedding shoot.’ As with most of our ideas, they come about from chatting over coffee about everyday topics. This particular idea started from a conversation about a scarf that both Sam and I had seen and fallen in love with – a coral coloured Alexander McQueen scarf. It combines girlie pink with an edginess through the incorporation of the iconic Alexander McQueen skull. We wanted something different and how often do you see skulls at a wedding?!

When it comes to sourcing items, we are quite particular with the suppliers we work with. If we talk about our concept and can see suppliers are struggling to understand the concept then we don’t use them. It’s important for us to know that our suppliers share our vision and the look we are hoping to achieve.

We had a number of confused faces stare at us when we mentioned the idea of skulls. However, when they saw the pictures they were pleasantly surprised and loved the look. We proved that, if need be, skulls can be incorporated into a wedding and still look bridal. Any look is possible, especially when we’re involved.”

Fashionable and fabulous.

Thanks so much to the lovely ladies of Hawke & Hughes for sharing such a beautiful shoot – enjoy!
