Château de Montpezat

Located between Pézenas and Roujan, in the heart of the OC region, Pézenas is distinguished by its history. Of Gallic origin, then Roman colony, the city became in the Middle Ages the commercial and cultural capital of an entire region. Molière and his illustrious theater even gave his most beautiful performances there.

Description

At the foot of Pyrenees mountains and South West of Toulouse, this chateau offers 10 rooms and 9 bathrooms (of which 7 and 7 high standards of comfort at the castle itself), and a capacity of 20 adults. The Chateau’s architecture is a perfect example of early French Renaissance and offers many similarities with the chateaux of the Loire valley, although it preceded many of them. The estate is bordered by the Garonne River.

There are two tennis courts in the village (5 minute walk), a 9-hole golf course 5 minutes away (many more within one-hour range) and several horseback-riding centers nearby. Within a 30-minute driving range you also have access to beautiful paths / treks in the Pyrenees, rafting facilities. We can also organize hot air balloon rides departing from the chateau lawn. There are a Spa and 2 Casinos at 5-10km from the chateau.
