There are so many places around the world. Fullstop. I’m having one of those mornings where I’m wondering, how do you actually get to them all? Physically, in one lifetime?! Can it be done? Every town, every city, every country?! Don’t worry – this is only going to last another line. Or not. Sadly, we are not physically in Spain today but we can share a bit of love for Gaudi through today’s engagement session in Barcelona. It’s our photographer that went destination today! Fábio Azanha travelled to Barcelona to meet with this lovely pair, Dani and Cristina and all three spent a few hours in the beautiful Park Güell.
Dani and Cristina are your modern day couple having met online ten years ago. After spending a few months getting to know each other online, they decided to meet in person only to realise they lived more or less next door to each other! When they got engaged and went to the church to register for their wedding next year, the priest had something very special to share with them, that they were infact both baptised in the same church, on the same day, in the same service by the same priest! Talk about meant for each other!
I took my boyfriend to Barcelona for his birthday a few years ago and we had such a great few days. The city is buzzing and really trendy but we completely fell in love with the work of Gaudi. The La Sagrada Familia is simply mind blowing, especially for someone like me who is obsessed with detail. We did get to go for a walk through the Park Güell and let me tell you, the mosaic walls and ceiling is too pretty for words. Highly recommend Barcelona for a destination wedding and engagement session and we have even written a guide on getting married there, so it was a real treat to share Dani and Cristina’s engagement shoot there today! Huge thanks to Fábio Azanha, looking forward to the next one already!
