New York, the concrete jungle where dreams are made of, so what better place to propose than a rooftop in the city, with views of the skyline in the background?
Well, this is exactly how Akshay decided to propose to his girlfriend Shipra on their 12th anniversary. From start to finish, Shipra was spoiled all day long – from being gifted a dress she’d been eyeing up, to being pampered with friends, she was finally sent to the proposal destination in a limo! Awaiting her was a video from all her nearest and dearest saying what they love most about her, and, of course, her husband-to-be, standing outside in front of a gorgeous floral altar made up of reds, oranges, yellows and pinks.
The attention to detail from this proposal was what made it so spectacular. Not only was Shipra presented with kit kat milkshakes and pesto pasta, which is what they ate on their first date twelve years before, but there were also mini hot air balloons set up around the altar, alluding to her desire to go on a hot air balloon ride in Turkey.
This proposal made our hearts sing and we hope you love it as much as we do! Congratulations to Akshay and Shipra!
