Today’s feature is a beautiful summer wedding shot by the lovely Jenna Carpenter which took place at the home of the bride in the lusher than lush Lake District. Katie and James decided to celebrate their big day in a beautiful, rustic old barn in Woodland, Broughton-in Furness and boy is it beautiful. There’s nothing quite like the English countryside when it comes to wedding backdrops.
The two chose an overall countryside theme with soft touches of sage green and pastel pinks which subtly appeared throughout the day. Katie wore a stunning wedding gown from Benjamin Roberts and James looked dapper in a Hugo Boss suit. The bridesmaids complemented the outdoor inspired colour palette in their bridesmaids dresses from Monsoon, Coast and House of Fraser.
The couple bought their flowers at wholesale prices and organised them inside jugs around the venue and on the tables. They made sure to include a stunning collection of peonies, white hydrangeas, roses, gypsophila, and various stocks and then surrounded the place with lots and lots of twinkling tealights. They then used chalkboards throughout the venue as signage and place settings.
- Any regrets?
None really – just try not to panic too much in the lead up. It will all be fine on the day!
- Best decision made:
To have it at home. And our friend DJing – he kept the dance floor full all night!
Thanks so much to Jenna Carpenter for sharing such a beautiful wedding, enjoy!
