What does this ceremony symbolize?

In this type of wedding ceremony, typical of some Eastern European countries, just like we mentioned above, the couple has to sit on the floor and drink a cup of tea as you can see in the photos.

This is done to represent the union of the couple and to formalize it, and obviously for Vietnamese cultural purposes because doing this the couple honors their parents, family and ancestors as it involves the bride, groom, their parents, close relatives, elders, the bridesmaids, and the groomsmen.

It is a typical way in this countries to introduce the new member of the family, because with this marriage union a new member is added to the family. The couple also receive gifts at this celebration.

How did this ceremony change?

What makes this ceremony different from what we are used to in this type of tradition is the emphasis of introducing modernity in the decoration, the food like the amazing wedding cake that was chosen and even the bride’s attire, all of this fused with Vietnamese decorative elements .

With new generations come new ways of thinking, new styles and ways of doing things, although the essence remains the same, times change and so do traditions.

Decor inspiration

The inspiration for this kind of shooting came from the intention to recreate a Vietnamese wedding with a modern and contemporary couple. Mixing tradition and modernity as we have been talking about so far. We followed the right directions to achieve the elegance and romanticism that we wanted from the beginning.

What really makes the difference in this kind of set-up is the goal to bring the essence of traditional weddings close to what a modern wedding would look like to represent the change of generations that we mentioned before.
