Confession: I tend to be a little prudish when it comes to talking about lingerie! When I came across Shell Belle Couture however the designs resonated with me as just the right mix of sexy and elegant. The designer behind the bridal intimates label, Michelle, takes inspiration from vintage lingerie from the 1930s, old films, antique postcards and early erotic photography. The materials used are high quality silks, tulle and French leavers lace, with designs intricately worked including the use of appliqué technique and cutout panels. Lots of thought goes into the little details that add that romantic touch like ribbons, fringes and small buttons. I love the ‘beach to boudoir’ vibe as the label is a big fan of flowing coverups, pretty slips and also carries some gorgeous swimwear.
