Description
The first origins of the castle date back to the 11th century when it aimed to be an important fortress of which the High Keep and the ruins of the enclosure are still witnesses. Around the 17th century, the Château was transformed into a magnificent and elegant stately home. Overlooking the Vendée hedged farmland, it is located in the middle of a landscape of hills, woods, ponds, in a green softness and a peaceful calm.
For your private reception, you can take advantage of different rooms:
– the dining room (14 to 22 people)
– the large stained glass gallery with its magnificent piano (Blüthner 1911) and the 16th century stained glass windows. It is possible to dine by candlelight for around 30 to 35 people.
