Luca and Giulia, living in Switzerland, got married in the Greve area of Italy’s Chianti: a stunning region in Tuscany world-renowned for its winemaking. Overlooking rolling hills dotted with vineyards, in a tiny country church, the couple exchanged vows with their closest friends and families. Giulia and Luca fell in love with Stefano Santucci‘s characteristically atmospheric photography style and chose him to capture their special day.
After the ceremony the wedding party walked from the church to Castle Vicchiomaggio where a welcome cocktail was served in the garden followed by the reception dinner in the castle’s drawing room. The couple wanted to base their wedding theme around the beautiful surrounding Chianti countryside and with this in mind they asked their guests to include something green in their outfits. Reception tables were named after herbs and Giulia’s bouquet was made up of wildflowers including daisies, Queen Anne’s Lace, brambles, roses and peonies. Candles and lanterns decorated the reception tables under the castle’s many beautiful hanging chandeliers. For the last dance there was a truly special moment was when all the guests joined the bride and groom on the dance floor, embracing and sharing the last dance together.
